W/ Host Rick and Jen:
Please ask my permission before using this transcript. thanks!

Rick: Hey! Hey! My street shoes. Your back with Much On Demand to my left Stephen Dorff. Stephen Welcome...

Stephen: Thanks you very much

Rick: ... to the environment...

Stephen: Nice to meet.

Rick: They are very excited.

Stephen: Yah good to see your guys.

Rick: There all exicted, they love when actors and actresses come by.

Stephen: Nice to see ya!

Rick: Um, you guys where at music station it was a little different for us so this is a cool thing.

Stephen: No I like this show I like this... I like this this whole enviroment, its nice. Yah, we get it on direct tv in the state. so, I watch it.

Rick: I though I saw Ozzy watching us one day.

Stephen: Oh really.

Rick: On his own program, but lets talk your movie that coming out tomorrow.

Stephen: Okay good, good.

Rick: FearDotCom out in theatres August 30th, set it up for us.

Stephen: Basically a movie, um, about a website. Basically Stephen Rea plays a charcter who is um, is kind of... its a very scary movie. He is basically mutilating people over the internet. And People are subscribing. And Basically if you go on the site, you die within 48hrs. Um of your own worst fears. And you take your own life. Its really a kind of frightening movie. The director is a pretty tripped out guy. He went for it. So, if you want a scary movie, I think this one delivers.

Rick: You actually play the detective that has to research all this, and you are given this chase to find the killer.

Stephen: Basically, I um. Basically I am tracking Stephen Rea charcter, and that it um like tracking... I am sure its like the government is doing now on the internet. Its a wide open universe out there. So I am trying to find this guy. And its becoming quite difficult. So at a certain point I have to log on to the site. Which is everyone is telling me not to do.

Rick: Which brings us to the clip that we are going to show right now. Where you log on for the first time.

Stephen: Yah this is the first time that I log on. Basically when you log on your worst nightmares come.

Rick: Lets take a look 'FearDotCom' staring Stephen Dorff to my right in theatres tomorrow. This is the clip from the movie.

[Plays Clip]

Rick: Wow, come on. That gave me chills right there. FearDotCom in theatres tomorrow. Lets talk about where this movie was shot. You were saying Parts of Canada.

Stephen: Yah it was strange. It was shot in Luxenburg. Which is a weird place. And um... A little bit of paris.

Rick: Its a real tiny country. Some great skiers are from there.

Stephen: Yah, its like right near Paris, Germany. Really, Yah! Its a big banking town too. It has a lot of banks.

Rick: I think so.

Stephen: But ee also shot in Montreal. Cause I was shooting a film last summer in Montreal. So, we did a few weeks there.

Rick: You've been up to Canada quite often?

Stephen: Yah, I have never shot in Toronto. I am shooting a movie here right now.

Rick: Tell us what you are shooting now?

Stephen: Um... I am doing a movie called Devil's Throat for Touchstone, its um, Dennis Quaid, Sharron Stone, Christopher Plumber, its really cool, its kind of Cape Fearish,... yah triller, kind of but different from FearDotCom. Its more psychological, more about people not...

Rick: I think you have like 5 or 6 films coming out this year or part of

Stephen: Like FearDotCom, then I have another one called Steal, which is a movie that will be coming out in the fall.

Rick: You're a busy guy.

Stephen: Yah its been good. Yah I have been busy recently.

Rick: What do you like about Canada, Toronto, Montreal?

Stephen: I love Toronto, its cool. I have been here before for the festival and stuff. But I have never shot here. Montreal was great. I was there all last summer. But Toronto I have been having a ball. I am here for like three months.

Rick: We have to take a quick break, and you will be talking with Jen shortly.

[Break]

Jen: Actor Stephen Dorff on demand. You just mentioned to me that you like Coldplay and you want to check out that show.

Stephen: That new album is incredible. I think its awesome.

Jen: Yah And you have seen alot of other shows while you been in Toronto.

Stephen: Yah I saw Oasis last week. And I caught a little Stone rehersals, which was cool.

Jen: Oh! What was that like?

Stephen:That was pretty cool. I have been lucky to see them in small venues before in like London. um... It was pretty cool.

Jen:The movie is called FearDotCom. We are online right now at the actual website. Fear.com, urelated, but about fears. Disagree or Agree, Are you afraid of air quotes?

Stephen: Um, what do you mean about air quotes?

Jen: "Actors"

Stephen: Oh right! um a little bit.

Jen: Squeaky shoes?

Stephen: Um not really, no.

Jen: Disagree. Country Music?

Stephen: Um, maybe, [laughs], a little bit.

Jen: That feardotcom the website. On to the movie, what are you hoping? Tomorrow its in theatres.

Stephen: Um, yah I think. There hasn't been a great scary movie. This movie is really creep for the end of labour day. I think its a great time for it. It definetly delievers. It doesn't come in half way. Definetly hard to watch some points. Pretty graphic. But I think that kind of movie audience, they'll jump out of their seats.

Jen: You have made many appearance on my favorite shows of the years, Roseanne,

Stephen: Thats when I started...

Jen: Family ties, Different Strokes, Blossom. Your favorite show to work, on of all those shows you worked on?

Stephen: Um it was along time ago, but Roseanna because I liked John Goodman alot. And we had a good time. And that was like the beginning of when I started. So, it was awesome.

Jen: Any behind the scene dirt on the shows?

Stephen: Not really. I would just hanging around with John. I was still kind of learning and I didn't know what I was doing. And when you guest star on the show it was a little strange. They go there every week, and then I just show up. But it was cool, I had a good time.

Jen:Your brother is Andrew Dorff, he's musician. Do have any interest in getting into music?

Stephen: I play music for just me.

Jen: What do you play?

Stephen: I play guitar, piano. I might do some music for movie at some point. Like music in the backgroud or something like that.

Jen: I read you where considered for the role of Jack of Titanic. When you go for audtion, Who else is usually in the room? Who else is usually up against for roles?

Stephen: That movie was kind of just was you know one week ... was my movie, one week it was his movie. In that kind of meeting, its just you and the director. On that kind of level. Lunch, talk, discuss the character of the movie. What he wants to do. See what happens.

Jen: And you have done alot of hollywood films, you have also done a lot of independent films stuff that been to the festival you've mention of why you been in Toronto before. What the difference between a move like I Shot Andy Warhol vs. say Blade?

Stephen: Well the difference in those movie is what the movies are about. There is always depending on what the budget is. Blade was absolutly a big movies. It was more of action. It was a comic book. I Shot Andy Warhol was a very small story. Was kind of more a limited movie for a different kind of audience. To me, they are just a smaller budget, smaller trailer, smaller everything. If you do a bigger movie, everything alot bigger, more time.

Jen: Do you still want to do moresmaller movies?

Stephen: Yah I do. I kind always mix it up. I have always wanted to. There was some big movies that I just didn't want to do for my own reason. I always like to do things that interest me. So, it can be a big movie, it can be a small movie. I just bounce back and forth.

Jen: It test a game Thursday, the game is beach bikers. Do you play video games at all?

Stephen: I do sometimes.

Jen: What is you favorite game?

Stephen: Probably Grand Theft Auto. I like driving games.

Jen: Alright, so does our audience. Lets head over to Rainbow, and Jimmy. Oh! Jimmy has gone...

[Stephen heads over to Rainbow, and Rick. Sits to the right of Rainbow. Rainbow offers Stephen a cordless controller, so he can sit with the audience. He decides that he is okay, where he is. He stops the videomatic, and they play JaRule video. After the video Rainbow gives his rating of the game. He likes the virtual girls in their bikinis.]

Jen: We have time for a request, what would you like to see?

Stephen: Anything by Coldplay would be great.

Jen: Alright here's Don't Panic by Coldplay.

[Plays 'Don't Panic' by Coldplay]

Jen: Stephen's request. So, your in Toronto working on a movie. Who else is in town? It a little Hollywood around here.

Stephen: I don't know. I think Michael Douglas is shooting a movie. I have heard... It seems like Hollywood here in Toronto. There are making so many movies here.

Jen: You excite for the Film Fest?

Stephen: Yah I am. I think I am coming to you party on the 6th.

Jen: Yah! Its a good one.

Rick: Right over there on a Friday. All through the buiding.

[Rick tells what up next for Monday's show]

Rick: Stephen thanks for coming by.

Stephen: Thank you. Thanks alot guys. Thank you.

More From Much Music...

When Actor Stephen Dorff stopped by MuchOnDemand to promote his upcoming scary flick FearDotCom we asked him what is the spookiest thing he's ever seen about himself on the net? 'Something called Stephen Dorff The Love Machine'. It sounded pretty sketchy, so of course we had to check it out.
Well after a quick search we were able to locate the site which allows you to figure out the "love compatibility" between you and Stephen Dorff. Hmmm..maybe this should be called yougottomuchtimeontyerhands.com
